Stories of Downtown

Crossroads is a monthly newsletter from the Downtown Arts & Cultural District and DowntownABQ Main Street Initiative that celebrates our downtown community by highlighting new downtown businesses, celebrating happenings and in the age of coronavirus, advocating for regrowth and rebuilding.

The Albuquerque Artwalk

Started in 2018, The Albuquerque Artwalk is an independent arts organization and community of artists working to elevate New Mexico’s emerging creative economy. Their platform organizes block-by-block placemaking events that support local artists and local brick and mortar establishments. Their purpose is to spark the vibrancy of the arts by organizing experiences at the neighborhood-level.

Arts & Cultural District

The Downtown Albuquerque Arts & Cultural District is both a place and a program in action: it is a designated area of 30 blocks in Downtown Albuquerque, and as an initiative of DowntownABQ Mainstreet, the District supports the creative economy of Downtown Albuquerque. This is accomplished this through promotional support, funding, and partnerships.
